Presiding Bishop sends letter to Secretary of State about eviction of Palestinian families
Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton August 5 expressing sorrow over the Israeli government's August 2 eviction of two Palestinian families from East Jerusalem, and asked Clinton and the Obama administration to call for the families' immediate return.
