Praying Together for Peace and Justice: Online Prayer Meeting

Date and Time:

24 September 2024, 6:00 PM (London Time)

The Anglican Peace and Justice Network (APJN) invites you to a special online prayer meeting, where we will come together as Anglicans to pray for peace and justice. This event comes at a pivotal time, leading up to the Anglican Communion’s involvement in the Summit of the Future, where the need for unified global efforts for peace will be highlighted.

Prayer and action have always been central to the life and witness of the Anglican Communion. This online gathering will focus on the current challenges faced by various regions of our Communion, including Pakistan, Burundi, the Holy Land, and South Sudan.

Join us in lifting up the needs of these regions and seeking God’s peace and justice for all.

What to Expect

  • Prayers and Hymns: Led by members of the Anglican Peace and Justice Network, we will unite in prayer and song.
  • Regional Focus: Representatives from regions across the Communion will share their stories, highlighting the unique challenges they face.
  • Time for Reflection and Response: Participants will have the opportunity to respond in prayer and worship as we come together as a global community of faith.

Why Your Prayers Matter

The world is facing unprecedented challenges, and the Anglican Communion believes in the power of prayer to bring about meaningful change. This event will allow us to stand in solidarity with those facing persecution, violence, and instability, and to renew our resolve to work for justice.
